GYROTONIC® San Luis Obispo is ready to expand. We’re looking to hire new teachers who are ready to build their business through our facility. Come join us whether you want to become a Certified Trainer, utilize it for therapeutic purposes, injury prevention or overall body conditioning, and experience a new control and ease in everyday movements.
The practices of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods, once the exclusive territory of dancers, are now widely recommended as effective body-mind conditioning methods for a wide range of people with all degrees of physical fitness. Medicine now employs these programs for rehabilitation and injury prevention, recognizing that they provide neuromuscular re-education for those with injuries, disease, and mobility concerns.
2011 Teacher Training Programs
GYROTONER®
with Authorized Master Trainer Juergen Bamberger

Fees: $800, $400 Deposit due by 4/5/11
Prerequisite: Level 1 Certified Gyrotonic Trainers can enroll in any of the Specialized Equipment Courses.
Course Description: The Gyrotoner uses movements where various muscle groups, tendons and ligaments in the spine, arms, hips, legs and ankles, among other body parts, can be strengthened and stretched simultaneously while the user consciously engages breathing patterns. The energy channels running throughout the body are thus stimulated, and the overall effect on the mind and body can be profound.
GYROTONIC® Supervised Apprentice Course
with Master Trainer Christine Wilson
JUNE 11TH - 16TH
Sat - Sun 10 AM - 2 PM
Mon - Thurs 1 PM - 7 PM
Fees: $900, $400 Deposit due 5/6/11
Prerequisite: Apprentice must have taught 20 - 30 hours documented on the apprentice log sheet.
Course Description: Review of all foundation training materials and hands on teaching tools. Upon completion and a minimum of two weeks, the student may participate in the final certification.
GYROTONIC® Pre-Training
with Master Trainer Christine Wilson
JULY 25TH - 30TH
MON - FRI 2 PM - 6 PM
SAT 10 AM - 2 PM
Fees: $1050, $500 Deposit due by 6/25/11
Prerequisite: Prior experience with the Gyrotonic Expansion System and participation in at least 10 private sessions.
Course Description: This 6-day, 20 - 28 hour course is the first step in training and certification in the Gyrotonic Expansion System. Upon completion and with approval of the Master Trainer, the student is qualified to take the Foundation Teacher Training.
GYROTONIC® Foundation Teacher Training
with Master Trainer Christine Wilson
SEPTEMBER 19th - 24th AND
SEPTEMBER 26th - October 1st
MON - FRI 1 PM - 7 PM
SAT 10 AM - 4 PM
Fees: $1800, $500 Deposit due by 8/19/11
Prerequisite: Completion of the Gryotonic Pre-training program.
Course Description: This 12-day course consists of intensive training and learning of the exercises and underlying principles using the Pulley-Tower Combination Unit. After completion students begin their apprenticeship period and may start teaching privately or in Gyrotonic studios.
All Teacher Training Programs require a deposit to guarantee your space in these courses. Students are considered enrolled upon receipt of their deposit.
