Gyrotonic methodology is a totally new exercise system that expands on Gyrokinesis motion patterns with custom-designed machine equipment, the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®. Like Gyrokinesis, its goal is to exercise the musculature while mobilizing and articulating the joints. The Gyrotonic sequences simultaneously stretch and strengthen the body with minimal effort, while increasing range of motion and developing coordination. The exercise equipment is built around the human body, aiming at total freedom in movement without restricting speed and versatility. Each exercise is synchronized with a corresponding breathing pattern and is performed with either a rhythm or melodic rhythmical expression.
